Obtaining a tax number, opening a bank account , and buying a home

The purchase of real estate is the primary condition, and it is on this basis that clients subsequently apply for a Turkish passport. The couple chose a two-story house, 800 meters from the sea. The amount of the transaction amounted to 402 000 $, which corresponds to the conditions for obtaining a passport. After selecting the house, our lawyers sent the owner an offer of cooperation, and after the approval, we executed a preliminary sale contract.

Important! The selected property must not have previously participated in the citizenship program.

At the same time, we helped Sasha to obtain a Turkish tax number and further open a bank account - this is necessary for the registration of real estate. After that, the buyer and the seller were able to sign the contract, and the money was sent to the owner. After that, the lawyers of our agency submitted the documents to the cadastral office of Turkey and received a certified copy of the TAPU - the act of real estate registration.

Together with the executed sale and purchase agreement, the applicant submits a real estate appraisal to the land registry. It is necessary to carry out an assessment of the object to confirm participation in the citizenship program. The work is performed by companies licensed by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and the Capital Markets Board (SPK). The price of the appraisal is $150.

Preparing documents and obtaining a residence permit

Before applying for a passport, the applicant must obtain a Turkish residence permit - this stage should not be skipped. You can apply for a residence permit immediately after the real estate purchase transaction.

We have collected and formalized the following package of documents:

  • a completed application for a new status;
  • copies of the resident's passport and foreign passport;
  • a bank statement confirming that the applicant has a sufficient financial base for living in Turkey for the period of residence permit;
  • a receipt confirming the payment for the production of the residence permit card;
  • health insurance policy;
  • an executed contract of sale;
  • Certificate of Title to Property (TAPU).

All documents were thoroughly checked, translated into Turkish, and apostilled by our lawyers. After that, we handed over the ready package of documents to the Department of the Turkish Citizenship Program. The residence permit cards were ready in 14 days.

Receiving stage: Turkish citizenship

The preparation of documents for the Turkish passport was carried out in parallel with the processing of documents for a residence permit. Thus, our applicants saved time and were able to send the application for passports immediately after confirmation of residence permit:

  • executed application in 2 copies;
  • investor questionnaire;
  • copies of the resident's passport and foreign passport;
  • birth certificates of spouses;
  • marriage certificate;
  • health insurance policy;
  • a certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record;
  • copies of residence permit cards;
  • bank statement and receipts confirming the purchase of real estate;
  • confirmation of full fulfillment of the investor's financial investment obligations from the General Department of TAPU and Cadastre - Certificate of Conformity;
  • executed power of attorney for a lawyer of the international company GARANT.in;
  • receipts on payment of the fee for the production and issuance of passports.

With the received power of attorney, our lawyers submitted the ready package of documents to the Provincial Department of Civil Status and Citizenship Registration in the place of purchase of the real estate.

From there, the documents are forwarded to the General Directorate of Civil Status and MoI in Turkey. After 4 months, our applicants received their approval and passports by courier service to the specified address.
