Residence Permit in France for a Businesswoman and International Programmer

Residence Permit in France for a Businesswoman and International Programmer

Nikolay S. is an international programmer from Moscow, 43 years old.

Married to Natalia, 36.

The spouses are raising two sons, aged 16 and 6.

Client history

Natalia has a chain of wedding and evening-wear stores. The secret of the success of her business is not only in her business approach but also in the presence of a fine sense of taste. To maintain the elite level of her stores, she cooperates with famous designers and visits exhibitions and fashion shows in Milan and Paris.

On these trips, Natalia was often accompanied by her children and husband. The family has been to other countries as well, but everyone enjoyed spending time in France the most.

The quarantine of 2020 pushed the couple to the decision to buy real estate in Nice. The city was not chosen by chance. There is a private school "Solnyshko" - one of the best educational institutions in the country for Russian-speaking children.

But, as it turned out, such an acquisition did not give the family the right to permanent residence in the country.

Having familiarized themselves with the conditions of registration of residence permit in France on the site GARANT.in, Nikolay and Natalia left their contact phone number in the application box. Our employees called the clients back and found out the purpose of their application.

The spouses wanted to apply for a residence permit in France for the whole family to realize their dream of moving.

The process of applying for a residence permit in France

In November they signed a cooperation agreement.

The lawyers of the company conducted a preliminary check of the candidates. Having found no problems and positively assessed the chances of the clients, they began to collect documents for the application.

Since the couple had bought the property before coming to us, it saved a little time.

The necessary documents were submitted for "visiteur" visas. Due to the quarantine, it was difficult to receive applications, but thanks to the persistence of our lawyers, the clients got to the reception at the French Embassy quite quickly.

In December Nikolay with his wife and children received visitor visas for 1 year.

After the New Year holidays, the family left for France.

Nikolay sent copies of passports with arrival stamps and we registered visas of all family members in OFII (Office français de l'immigration et de l'intégration).

This is a mandatory procedure for long-term visas. The data must be entered no later than the third month of stay in the country.

The clients have lived in France for 10 months on the rights stipulated by the "visitor's visa".

During the first 3 months after their arrival, Natalia and Nicholas passed a medical exam and an interview at OFII.

In October 2021, the lawyers checked the completeness of the package of documents for the residence permit. Together with the application for a residence permit, the client submitted them to the prefecture of the place of residence.

It was important to meet the deadline, namely to apply 2 months before the expiration of the visa.

The family received French resident cards:

Spouses - for one (1) year. The youngest son (6 years old) received a resident card (DCEM) for up to 5 years. Older son (16 years old) - for 2 years (until he is 18 years old).

Results of work on the case

The client received a residence permit together with his wife and children, which was the main purpose of contacting the Emigration Center GARANT.in. But our cooperation did not end there. Our lawyers are still in touch with Nikolay and Natalia, helping them in solving current issues and extending the residence permit.

The couple are planning to apply for a residence permit and then French citizenship.
