Since August 4, the borders of Montenegro have been open for citizens of the Russian Federation. This became possible after the specially authorized body of the Republic (National Coordination Council under the Government) updated the list of safe countries according to the level of incidence of coronavirus.

The main criterion for determining the epidemiological situation in the state is considered the number of sick people per 100 thousand people. According to this indicator, Russia the day before was included in the “green list” of countries, which gave its citizens the right to visit Montenegro without additional procedures:

  • no need to undergo a two-week quarantine upon arrival;
  • no need to provide certificates with the results of the COVID-19 test.

The only condition for staying on the territory of the Republic remains compliance with the rules of personal and public hygiene.

Direct air communication between the countries has not yet been resumed, but it is only a matter of time.
