Spain's Golden Visa. The story of one family.

Spain's Golden Visa. The story of one family.

The clients are a married couple from Kursk, Natalia and Artem. They applied at the end of April 2018. They are successfully engaged in business in their hometown, owning a restaurant and two cafes.

They often visit European countries as tourists and for business reasons. Especially like Spain. They feel comfortable here, besides, they have close friends from Russia in Spain.

Their friends suggested that they develop a joint business in Spain. Artem and Natalia decided to get a Golden Visa. It will allow them to build a business there, to live in their favorite country without restrictions. The clients' request is to obtain a “golden” residence permit in Spain. At the same time Artem, as the main applicant, wished to include a retired mother-in-law in the family. According to the plan of the spouses, mother-in-law and wife Artem will live in Spain permanently, working on the development of business. He himself is going to live “on two countries” for some time.

Working on the case

May. Signing of the cooperation agreement, assisting the spouses in gathering the package of documents. Initial verification and processing of documents.

June. The NIE was issued to the client remotely and a Spanish bank account was opened. At the same time the lawyers started searching for suitable real estate. It was planned to find an apartment for housing, as well as a cafe in Bilbao (Basque country). It was in this city that Andrei and Natalia decided to settle down (their friends-companions lived there).

At the same time, the couple were busy selling their restaurant and their mother-in-law's apartment, as they lacked the available funds for the investment.

Early August. The real estate is sold, the money is transferred to an account in Spain. Remotely, the spouses selected the objects offered to them for purchase. In August, a remote purchase and sale transaction took place.

Immediately applied for D visas, sent copies of documents to the ODE.

In September, they received a favorable response from the immigration authorities. Spouses and mother-in-law on D visas enter Spain, take biometrics and submit original documents to ODE. They are accompanied on the trip by a lawyer.

In October, the lawyer receives the residence permit cards by power of attorney and sends them by courier mail to Kursk, the applicant's place of residence.

The case is closed within 6 months. Artem and his family members received Golden visas of Spain.
