Visa denial is not a verdict!
Friends, in our practice we often come across stories where our clients have been refused a visa. What do our lawyers do? They develop a new strategy and achieve a positive decision.
At the end of 2022 a married couple of pensioners: Vladislav (65 years old) and Olga (63 years old) applied to our agency. The spouses have savings and stable passive income - they rent two apartments and office space, and own securities of several leading companies.
The head of the family has been diagnosed with serious health problems and for the last 7 years he has been annually visiting the thermal resort Balaruc-les-Bains in Occitanie (France). We asked a lot of clarifying questions and suggested that Vladislav and Olga apply for a residence permit for FNL (financially independent persons). Especially as the couple had long thought about moving to Europe, but kept postponing this decision.

- be financially independent (at least 18,255 € in the account for each person);
- receive a stable income from a legal source not on the territory of France;
- take out medical insurance;
- buy or rent long-term real estate;
- obtain a type D visa issued by the French consulate in the place of residence;
Free movement in Schengen countries.
- Opportunity to apply for permanent residence (carte de séjour) after 5 years.
