Vanuatu Citizenship - A Birthday Present

Difficulties in obtaining a Schengen visa led Timur to seek our assistance in May 2021. However, his goal was no longer just a visa but rather a second citizenship that would provide a high degree of global mobility. He also wanted to obtain passports for his 25-year-old son and his wife.

We suggested that Timur consider the Vanuatu citizenship program. It met all his criteria, and he confirmed his decision by signing a cooperation agreement.

The lawyer was limited in time, as Timur’s son was turning 26 in two months.

Under the terms of the Vanuatu passport program, financially dependent children up to the age of 25 inclusive are eligible to apply for citizenship alongside the primary applicant.

We gathered the required documents in an expedited manner within two and a half weeks.

There were no issues with transferring funds. Timur had an account with a European bank, from which two payments were made a week apart. The first covered the applicants' due diligence check, and the second was the charitable contribution to the National Development Fund.

A licensed agent acted as the intermediary, using a bank account in Hong Kong to facilitate the transactions.

Direct payments from Russia for the Vanuatu program are currently not possible due to a temporary restriction in the country on receiving payments in U.S. dollars.

The waiting period for a response lasted just over a month. In August, Timur, his wife, and his son took the oath online (via Zoom). We personally delivered the passports to them, maintaining confidentiality.

With our assistance, Timur achieved his goal. Now, he and his family members hold passports that allow them to travel without the need for visas. The second citizenship was an excellent birthday gift for his son.
