Pyotr D., 28 years old, an entrepreneur from Russia.
He contacted us in October 2020 with a request to extend his Greek residence permit, which had expired in June of the same year. However, this was not his only request.
Since obtaining his Greek residency status, much has changed in his life: he got married and became a father.
His family was living in Russia, but they were planning to relocate soon.
The client wanted to renew his residence permit and also obtain residence cards for his wife and child.
We quickly started working on the case after signing the cooperation agreement, as Pyotr’s application for the renewal of his Greek residence permit needed to be submitted by December at the latest.
First, the lawyer gathered all the necessary documents for the main applicant:
In November, we remotely applied for the residence permit renewal to the Greek Migration Department. A month later, the client received a positive response and personally collected his card at the department.
By that time, the lawyer had already prepared the documents for the residence permits of Pyotr's wife and son, who were eligible under the family reunification program:
In early January, we submitted the documents to the Consulate. After reviewing the application, they scheduled an interview for the wife.
Everything went smoothly: the client’s wife and child received Greek national visas valid for 90 days.
The family was able to fly to Athens only in May 2021. At that time, accompanied by the lawyer, they submitted the documents to the Migration Department to obtain residence permits, and in June, they received their residence cards.
We successfully helped the client extend his Greek residence permit, which had already expired at the time of his request. Additionally, we secured residence permits for the main applicant's wife and son under the family reunification program.
